One of the greatest tv shows of all time - Roots (1977). Roots (1977) is a great lesson in tv show making for all the newbie directors. It is not just "some" tv show, it has an eternal message. I saw this tv show many times, really many times. Marvin J. Chomsky John Erman David Greene Gilbert Moses is the person responsible for making a lot of good work with brilliant writing and amazing cinematography. Artistry of actors are just magnificent, no one give bad performance. You know what? Roots (1977) has changed my personal life in every aspect. I'm sure that Roots (1977) will continue to live for next 100 years. Roots (1977) is a living masterpiece. This tv show is an art, at it's very best form.
Storyline of Roots (1977)
The miniseries is a saga of African-American life, based on Alex Haley's family history depicting his family line from ancestor Kunta Kinte's enslavement to his descendants' liberation.
