Brilliant movie from 1976 year, a classic Adventure movie. The Shootist has literally no weak scenes. I still remember the first time I saw The Shootist. It is a phenomenal, tense movie from the beginning to the end. Don Siegel is the person who made The Shootist such amazing movie. Artistry of actors are just magnificent, no one give bad performance. Not many "excellent" movies that have ever been created, but The Shootist, certainly is one of them. I'm sure that The Shootist will continue to live for next 100 years. In 2021 you have to watch The Shootist online.

The movie follows J.B. Books, an aging gunfighter diagnosed with cancer who comes to Nevada at the turn of the 20th century to spend his last days looking for a way to die with a minimum of pain and a maximum of dignity.
